Data Analyst - Business Process Improvement

This position is located in the Department of Defense (DoD), Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Successful candidates will be an organized self-starter capable of performing tasks without the need for constant oversight and experience successfully working in a team environment. Assist government personnel by providing consistent, responsive, and high-quality technical support with detailed analyses and strategic recommendations based on data analysis of business processes. Key duties will include:Provide data analysis of data gathered from the evaluation of business processes to support improvements and new, innovative solutionsGather critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful reportsWork closely with clients, technicians, and managerial staffEnsure solutions meet business needs and requirementsManage competing resources and prioritiesMonitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of projectsIdentify effective solutions for business software system issuesEvaluate system performance and identify issuesMonitor and troubleshoot new system modifications or changes from a data perspectiveProvide recommendations on system issuesUse a variety of data analysis and tools to discover process and system issuesEDUCATION:Master's degree in a related field/technical fieldSKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Top Secret/SCI clearance required at date of hireA minimum of 12 years of experience in business analysis or a related field, to include process improvements (e.g., six sigma, business process management, lean, etc.)Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skillsAbility to work in a collaborative environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong understanding of various technologiesFundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skillsExperience creating detailed reports and giving presentationsCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Visio, and OutlookA track record of following through on commitmentsExcellent planning, organizational, and time management skillsA history of supporting successful projects
