Position DescriptionCGI is a dynamic and innovative organization that leverages the latest technological advancements to streamline business processes and enhance productivity. As a Junior Business Analyst - Process Improvement, you will be an integral part of our delivery team, driving efforts to improve, collaborate, identify, and streamline business processes that will have a global impact for us and our clients.We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Junior Business Analyst to join our team within the public sector. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and their application in process improvement initiatives. As a Junior Business Analyst, you will work closely with senior analysts and project managers to identify inefficiencies, analyze data, and propose solutions to enhance operational performance and service delivery.This position is located in our USA VA Fairfax USAVAFAI01 office with work performed at client site in Washington, D.C.; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.Your future duties and responsibilities

Data Analysis and Interpretation:Collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.Utilize statistical tools and techniques to interpret data and derive actionable insights.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into analytical approaches.Process Improvement:Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for optimization.Conduct process mapping and value stream analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.Maintain accurate documentation of process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and project documentation.Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and measure progress over time.Stakeholder Engagement:Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments and external partners to gather requirements, solicit feedback, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.Facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions to foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field.Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., DMAIC, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Root Cause Analysis).Experience in data analysis and proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Excel, SQL, R, Python).Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

Prior experience or internship in business analysis, process improvement, or consulting.Knowledge of U.S. public sector agencies, operations, & regulations.CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications.
