Our top Am Law 100 client, a global law firm, has a dynamic full-time employment opportunity for a mid-level Associate in the FERC Energy Regulatory Practice of their DC office. Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of litigation experience, and an interest in (1) administrative litigation at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission involving oil and gas pipelines, (2) FERC electricity regulation, and (3) FERC Enforcement actions. FERC experience a plus but not a requirement. The ideal candidate will have experience with complex litigation research, trials and/or administrative hearings. In addition, the candidate should have great organization and writing skills. Must be admitted, or be eligible for admission, to the DC Bar.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, and be proactive, supportive and team oriented. Great partnership track opportunity for the right candidate.

Practice Summary

Our client's Federal Regulatory & Administrative Law Practice represents clients in proceedings before and against government agencies, both at the administrative level and in federal courts in Washington, D.C. and across the country. They represent clients in a broad array of complex regulatory and policy disputes before numerous agencies, including the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Justice, Labor, State, and Transportation; the Environmental Protection Agency; the Federal Trade Commission; the Federal Communications Commission; the Federal Reserve; the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Their team understands and has the experience to handle the unique legal issues and special challenges that arise in these cases. They often collaborate with other firm practices to ensure that their experience litigating and resolving disputes before and against federal agencies is coupled with their deep, substantive industry knowledge. Their Federal Regulatory and Administrative Law Practice is concentrated in Washington, D.C. and has members in the firm's offices across the country.
