We're actively searching for a skilled and experienced physician to join our team and provide comprehensive gastrointestinal (GI) care to hospital patients. Focus on Inpatient Care:Dedicate your time to providing essential GI care within a hospital setting. This includes inpatient consultations, emergency department support, and scheduled procedures.

Predictable Schedule:Maintain a structured schedule with a 1:4 call rotation, requiring 8 hours of on-site hospital coverage and 16 hours of unrestricted call (7 am - 7 am). This role includes nights and weekends.

Seamless Technology:Leverage your familiarity with EPIC, the electronic medical records system used at the facility.

Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive inpatient consultations and provide ongoing care for patients with a variety of GI conditions.Offer timely support to the emergency department for patients presenting with GI emergencies.Perform scheduled GI procedures such as colonoscopies and endoscopic ultrasounds (EUS), ensuring optimal patient outcomes.Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the EPIC EMR system.

Qualifications for Success:Current board certification in Gastroenterology is mandatory.Valid and active medical license in the state of Michigan is required.Clean background check is essential.Experience performing colonoscopies, endoscopic ultrasounds (EUS), and upper GI endoscopies (diagnostic, therapeutic with biopsy, and foreign body removal) is necessary.Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with hospital staff.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
