It is a peaceful, scenic, community-oriented area with an abundance of amenities to suit every taste.JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSScheduled Weekly Hours: 36Work Shift: 7pm-7amSummary of the Job:Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians and Unit Clerks.Minimum Qualifications: Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program. Current LA RN License.Current BLS certification through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.Ability to meet weekend and holiday requirements required.Preferred Qualifications: ALS is preferred within 6 months of hire.Med/Surg experience preferred.Critical Care experience preferred.Physical Demands:Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
