What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Shape the technical direction of the program and provide contractual delivery requirements to team membersCoach and develop product team members, define growth goals, and create a culture of learning and evolutionPartner with key stakeholders to advocate for the best technical solutions and communicate tradeoffsExhibit effective communication skills to gain consensus and mitigate conflictDefine the vision and strategy for the product management discipline and support the identification of growth opportunitiesLead team processes and seek out best practicesSupport program leadership in meeting delivery requirementsDevelop people management skills and assume direct management responsibilitiesParticipate in interviews with new candidates and contribute to bid-writing, tech demos, and strategic planning
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Business Discipline10 years of relevant experience (13 years of experience may substitute for educational requirement)Experience driving web development across multiple teamsExperience with agile methodology and working in cross-functional teamsLeadership experience of 3 or more direct reportsProduct delivery expertise and successful navigation of stakeholders
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience with the VA digital ecosystemExperience with health care productsExperience with migration projectsCSPO, CPM, CSM, or other related certificationGeneral understanding of government contracting requirements and regulations
