OverviewThe Director of Sales is responsible for achieving revenue goals and supporting the long-term success of the business. The Director of Sales is responsible for supporting Local Franchisees sales efforts through development of sales best practices materials and certification of sales personnel on those best practices at the direction of the Franchisees. The Director of Sales will also provide coaching and mentoring to local Franchisees on how to best obtain local and company sales objectives. The Director of Sales provides thought leadership and best practices on sales support system needs such as CRM, KPIs, recruiting, retention and training of sales personnel for local franchisees.
Key Tasks And DutiesMentors local franchisees on how to create a cadence of accountability with their sales teams to review performance and provide coaching, mentoring and training.Enforces brand standards as defined.P&L responsibility, budgeting and strategic planning in partnership with the Vice President.Supports Franchise Development Activities and Market Expansion.Assist in the formation of marketing strategies for customer acquisition.Reviews Sales plans, Individual Salesperson performance, and KPIs with local franchisees as requested, and assist in the development of action plans to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.Ensures timely communication and follow-up.Builds professional relationships with customers, franchisees, and peers.Helps to identify, create, and present sales certification programs for local franchisee sales staffs.Owns development and updating of sales presentation materials for use by local franchisees.Identify and lead new business opportunities.Provide insight and direction to the Brand President.
Management And LeadershipWork collaboratively with other senior leaders and other departments to support their efforts in accomplishing Company and Empower Brands goals.Attract and retain top talent. Develop others by delegating responsibility, providing high-impact performance feedback, and assisting in conflict resolution.Manage organizational transformation and change by communicating change to the team, problem solving, and establishing structure.Mature strategic/sales leader with 10+ years of experience, including substantial experience in a senior management role developing and implementing sales support and growth strategies in a nimble and entrepreneurial environment.Proven experience in developing a strategy and driving tangible results across teams in an ambiguous environment while leveraging data from a multitude of sources to tell a story and impact the overarching strategy.
Minimum Qualifications10+ years direct sales leadership experience.Demonstrated experience in sales goal achievement.Proven ability to develop salespeople to achieve results.Strong computer skills including Excel.Commercial Cleaning/Janitorial Services Sales Leadership experience preferred.Ability to travel approximately 50% or as needed.
