Trade Specialist for Middle East, Africa, Mediterranean, and Oceania Trades positions offered by Kuehne + Nagel Inc. (Jersey City, NJ). Deliver best in class Trade Management Services for freight forwarding to internal and external stakeholders. Perform in line with company goals and expectations and in line with the Road Map 2026/Envision 2030 targets in terms of volume growth and yield management on the dedicated Middle East, Africa, MED, and Oceania trades. Manage and develop mutual trusted long lasting carrier relationships to help achieve short term and long term goals. Complete all day-to-day procurement with carriers and provide competitive and accurate pricing to internal and external parties within given deadlines. Approve carrier contract amendments based on previously negotiated rates, validity, allocation, routing and free time requirements. Maintain a FAK matrix with the core carriers to guarantee rate competitiveness and drive further rate negotiations. Participate in market development/pipeline discussion calls with KN US regions/ KN destination regions. Work with the K+N sales organization on business opportunities and representing the Trade as a carrier matter expert in front of customers. Ensure an efficient flow of information concerning carriers and market developments to all involved K+N stake holders (locally and abroad) as well as customers. Proactively identify and escalate challenges and opportunities to improve the development of the respective trade. Understand and use the K+N tools and systems. Provide administrative support relevant to the trade team within scope.Minimum Requirements:Must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, and at least 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience working in supply chain logistics and freight forwarding. Stated experience must include at least 2 years of experience in each of the following: working in project management and Procurement; using MS Excel & Tableau to generate and track project pricing, generating reports on a regular basis; working in an international organization; working with Sea Logistics; performing Sea Logistics pricing for the Middle East, Africa, and Mediterranean trades; analyzing data to identify sales leads by utilizing different web based platforms, such as ”PIERS” and “Datamyne.” Please apply via email at: mary.boruch@kuehne-nagel.com We are offering a salary of $75,000 to $85,000 per year.
