General Summary:
Customer Engineering (CE) team helps customers with the design specific customizations in various technology areas, and support launch of products right from concept design to commercialization. Qualcomm is looking for person with good knowledge and hands-on experience in Design/Development/Debugging aspects of Board support package (BSP) for Linux enabled (LE) platforms. As a member of Qualcomm SW Customer Engineering group, candidate will be responsible for supporting Qualcomm Telematics customers.
The Main responsibility is to provide direct support to Qualcomm customers and partners with the design, development and debug of Qualcomm reference designs SW related issues and helping to customize/optimize software to meet the product requirements helping them launch products on time.
The Candidate must quickly ramp-up onto an existing project, understand Automotive Telematics platform Hardware and Software driver architecture, read/write technical specifications/requirements, demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and work closely with external customers.
This is customer facing role and will also require frequent travel onsite within Europe to debug or assist remote teams in debugging issues, provide trainings to customers. Qualcomm teams are distributed globally hence candidate will be working with remote teams regularly for supporting customer projects.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years above in Automotive/Telematics/Mobile industrial.
10+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc
Experience High level operating systems (HLOS), Operating Systems preferably Linux, Android with emphasis on device driver development and BSP
Solid hands-on software design and development experience on complex embedded computing platforms.
Experience with Embedded software development debugging tools such as JTAG, Trace32 and oscilloscope/Logical Analyzer
Understanding of ARM architecture
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Qualcomm platform solution
Experience in automotive products, eg. infotainment, telematics, ADAS, a definite plus.
Live debugging and Post-mortem debugging
Exposure to Secure boot and Trusted Operating systems concept
Experience with serial peripherals like UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe on hardware and software aspects.
Knowledge of Legato Application framework for Telematics
Experience with complex interfaces like USB, Ethernet
Experience with storage peripherals like UFS, eMMC
Software debugging skills on embedded real time operating systems
The candidate is expected to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, high motivation, the ability to learn quickly, and must be a self-starter
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field, (Masters Preferred)
