Job Summary:
The Manager – OSW Projects (Systems Integration) is a key role within the Offshore Renewables Business, belonging to the New England Wind Engineering Team. This role is responsible for the delivery of the Systems Integration scope of the New England Wind projects, including SCADA, Telecommunications, Protection, Metering, Control, and Security scopes of the offshore windfarm, both onshore and offshore. The selected candidate will oversee the strategy definition, design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and hand-over to O&M of these scopes.Key Responsibilities:Leadership and Coordination: Spearheading the delivery of key work scopes or project functions, ensuring seamless coordination among stakeholders and compliance with requirements.Project Management: Driving projects to completion on time, within budget, and to HSE and quality standards.Organizational Management: Designing and managing a robust organizational structure for the respective scope, utilizing resources primarily across Europe and the USA.Strategic Advice: Providing strategic delivery advice, conducting risk assessments, and offering recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.Risk Management: Effectively managing project risks intrinsic to the offshore wind industry.Standards and Practices: Implementing offshore standards, procedures, tools, and best practices for large-scale projects.Continuous Improvement: Capturing and sharing lessons learned from offshore delivery projects, establishing feedback loops and best practices.Project Leadership: Making key project and strategic decisions to ensure optimal investment value.Required Qualifications:Experience: 8+ years of project management experience in large-scale capital/energy projects in Systems Integration Scopes.Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, or relevant engineering discipline.People Management: Effective management of diverse, multinational teams.Delivery and Contracting: Competence in planning, tendering processes, contracting management, and delivery of multi-million-dollar contracts.Experience of leading teams involved in multidisciplinary work packages in international environments.Experience in managing interfaces with corporate teams.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in offshore wind farms, marine works, or oil and gas delivery and operations.A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (PMP, PE) are preferred.Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Knowledge of HSE legislation related to delivery, marine, and offshore key packages.Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship management skills.Communication: Excellent communication skills to influence key project and business decisions.Team Coordination: Ability to organize, manage, and lead teams for package delivery.Problem-Solving and Innovation: Anticipating problems and implementing mitigating solutions.Tenacity and Determination: Persistence in overcoming obstacles to achieve project goals.
