Job DescriptionThis role will be working in the Click2Pay (Secure Remote Commerce) Development team. We are a full stack team that utilizes JAVA/Spring Boot for backend services and NextJS /TypeScript for frontend development. Our ideal candidate would be proficient in both areas. This role will provide leadership in hands-on activities including POCs, design, documentation, development, and testing.The Work itself:Design code and systems that touch 40% of the world population while influencing Visa’s internal standards for scalability, security, and reusability.Collaborate multi-functionally to create design artifacts and develop best-in-class software solutions for multiple Visa technical offerings.Actively contribute to product quality improvements, valuable service technology, and new business flows in diverse agile squadsDevelop robust and scalable products intended for a myriad of customers including end-user merchants, b2b, and business to government solutions.Leverage innovative technologies to build the next generation of Payment Services, Transaction Platforms, Real-Time Payments, and Buy Now Pay Later TechnologyOpportunities to make a difference on a global or local scale through mentorship and continued learning opportunities.Essential Functions:Works with product owners to gather and refine requirements for one product, adding and taking into account existing tools and solutions across departments.Develops and designs moderately advanced architect solutions that are robust and scalable, considering integrations with other solutions across the internal technical ecosystem.Provides domain expertise on the development of user documentation of solutions and implements standard processes in user documentation.Plays a significant role in the development and delivery of new features within a product from end-to-end.This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.Preferred Qualifications:6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhDKnowledge of and ability to develop front-end code (e.g. HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) in support of package and product development. This includes the extension of capabilities of packages and products.Knowledge of user interface design, which is the interaction where users and computers interact. This includes an understanding of how to provide an optimal industrial design experience through User Interface (UI) Design.Knowledge of and ability to develop back-end (e.g. Python, Java, C++, PHP) code in support of package and product development. This includes the extension of capabilities of packages and products.Application Program Interfaces (APIs) experience specifically- a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications that specify how software components should interact and are used when programming graphical user interface (GUI) components.Knowledge of systems integration process in which separately produced components or subsystems are combined and problems in their interactions are addressed.Knowledge of data structures, which consist of data organization, management, and storage formats that enable efficient access and modifications.
