This position is responsible for developing and executing tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet the requisite functional, technical, and regulatory compliance and maintain high overall product quality. Responsible for having an understanding of the software test methodologies and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and high level of quality.Essential Job Functions:
Develop and execute test plans and test scripts for new and existing game themes and operating systemsFollow all of the SQA Work Instructions on a daily basisSubmit, track, and assist with escalation, if needed, any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolvedUtilize all required databases for SQA functions and testingProvide input to the weekly project status report for each assigned projectProvide detailed Completion Report at the end of each projectInterface with other members of Product Development in order to effectively communicate and assist with resolution of all reported issues in a timely manner before the gaming product is releasedUnderstanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycleReproduce issues when necessary in order to assist software development in resolving issuesAssist the SQA Department on special projectsIntroduce process improvement initiativesEstablish key contacts with upstream organizations that have a direct impact on SQAQualifications:
Academic and/or working knowledge of Visual StudioAcademic and/or work experience with C and/or C++Academic and/or working knowledge of Linux/Unix/WindowsAcademic and/or proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookEducation:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferredRequired Experience:
0 - 1 year of relevant SQA work experienceAutomation experience a plusKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Working knowledge of computer operation and principles of computer hardwareBasic knowledge of real-time embedded systemsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to communicate and collaborate with other team membersAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environmentDetail-oriented and organizedVision:
Close visionDepth perceptionAbility to adjust focusPeripheral visionAbility to distinguish colorsPhysical Requirements:
Stand for long periods of timeExtensive time in front of LCD’s and Electronic Gaming Machine screensRepetitive motion to open heavy Electronic Gaming Machine doorsWork Conditions:
