A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their growing team in Brooklyn. In this role, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for performing medical evaluations, conducting groups related to wellness and self -management, provides psycho-education to improve participants understanding and management of specific disorders.

CernerResponsibilities:The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will:
Review the appropriateness of the existing medication regimen through review of the medication record and consultation with the client and staff to prescribe and/or administer medication, including injectable and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT Services)Monitor the effects of the medication on the clients' mental and physical health, including measuring weight, height and blood pressure for clientsDocument prescriptions, interventions, weight, height, and blood pressure upon every visitFollow-up on referrals made on behalf of the participant and respond to all referrals in a timely and professional mannerParticipate in the development of new service initiatives, including research, analysis, and preparation of written reportsParticipate in all CCNS CQI and QA projects.Track and maintain paperwork for special programs, such as City funded children's immunization and flu shotsWork collaboratively with the Psychiatrist and treatment teamPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:
1+ year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP)Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalentNYS Nurse Practitioner licenseActive Suboxone certificationCurrent CPR (BLS), First Aid certificationDEAANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) CertificationComputer savvy and Data Entry skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills:
Bilingual (English and Creole, Cantonese Korean, Mandarin, Russian, or Spanish)
