Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000

The purpose of a REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF SALES is to provide sales support and leadership, sales training and mentoring, strategic development, and brand resources to a select portfolio of hotels. This should be done in a way to maximize profits and to adhere to the guidelines set forth by Stonebridge Companies and hotel brand standards.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work cohesively with the sales teams and General Managers at each hotel to assist them in capturing group business in all segments and corporate transient business. Make sure sales leads through various online networks and sources are being handled in an efficient manner. Monitor visits to local businesses in their markets and ensure proper prospecting and cold calling are being accomplished.Monitor the Sales Pro system to make sure solicitation calls are properly documented as well as account information, contracts, correspondence, and emails are accurately captured.Evaluate promotional events, trade shows, community, and industry events to make sure attendance produces the proper return on investment.Perform the required job functions with a high attention of detail and efficiency.Organize, prioritize and follow-up with a sense of urgency.Assist with settings sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for both rate and occupancy.Understand the hotel's operations, including room types, meeting capacities, services, features and benefits for assigned hotels in your territory.Review the STAR reports on a weekly basis and create action plans as necessary.Communicate with Revenue Management and GM to ensure that pricing is appropriate and adjust selling strategies as needed.This person should have the ability to provide sales strategy to exceed revenue goals and ensure these strategies are being executed by the sales teams in each market. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED); college level sales / marketing classes or Business Degree preferred.

4 to 6 years of hands-on experience as a Director of Sales with multi-property experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Proficient use of Sales Pro.Strong working knowledge of MS Word is required, specifically Excel. Experience with automated accounting systems is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment normally entails the following:

• Primarily indoor work environment

• Minimal to moderate noise levels consistent with hotel environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to sit more than 75% of time.

Ability to lift weight or exert force up to 10 pounds.

Must be able to make sales calls 50% of the time.
