Era Living is seeking a Maintenance (Facilities) Director to become the newest member of our Maintenance Team located in our Aljoya Thornton Place Community, in Seattle, WA. Available shifts will be scheduled Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 05:00pm.

Summary:
The Facilities Director is responsible for managing all aspects of maintenance for the community; Assisting in planning, organizing, implementing and maintaining maintenance services.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinates and/or performs maintenance and repair required to keep the building in good working condition according to the preventative maintenance program and work orders.
Negotiates contracts and ensures outside services are properly completed and supervised in accordance with contracts
Regularly inspects equipment and buildings to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
Ensures that work areas are clean, free of hazardous conditions and that all tools and supplies are properly stored
Ensures compliance with fire and safety codes, including interacting with fire, building and safety inspectors
Responds to and is available for emergency calls from the Community
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment generally used in a health care setting
Ability to plan, direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate the work of others
Good communication and organization skills
Ability to use Word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail and the Internet
Ability to follow all OBRA, OSHA and L&I requirements ensuring personnel and resident safety at all times
Ability to plan, direct, supervise, coordinate and evaluate the work of others
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Ability to pass DSHS background check, required
Education and Experience:
5 years of facilities maintenance of multiple building trades and/or, other related training experience required; Facilities maintenance in a health-care setting preferred.
