Senior Software Engineer

Who we areGradient is on a mission to automate the modern enterprise, a huge space with over $100B in TAM. Our core product, the Gradient Automation Foundry, makes it easy for enterprises to automate information processing workloads that were historically impossible to automate with RPA or internal tools. We’ve built our own LLMs and technology from the ground up to power privacy sensitive enterprise workloads.The roleAs a Senior Software Engineer at Gradient, you will deeply understand enterprise automation problems and create a best-in-class product that empowers non-technical users to leverage AI. Additionally, as one of our earliest engineers, you will collaborate directly with the leadership team often. You’ll also have the opportunity to help build out the engineering team and have a large hand in shaping the team culture.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will:Drive projects end-to-end, from scoping and design to implementation and rolloutDesign and build delightful user-facing products from the ground up, including working hands-on with customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Gradient technology, from demos to proofs of concept to full productionizationCollaborate closely with leadership, applied scientists, and other engineers to ensure alignment on decisionsStay up-to-date with the AI landscape and technologies, ensuring we are using the best tool at hand for our platformHelp uplevel the engineering team and shape culture and technical best practicesPreferred qualificationsYou might thrive in this role if you:Have 4+ years of full-time software engineering experience in a production environmentAre experienced with web development and fluent with React, Typescript, and PythonCan leverage the latest generative AI techniques (prompt engineering, RAG, and more)Are excited about working at an early stage startup and building products from 0 to 1, and have experience doing soAre interested in exploring ways to harness AI to disrupt industries and working directly with customers to identify new product innovationsAbout usWe’re an ambitious team tackling a huge industry with over $100B in TAM.
