Position DescriptionThe SAP QM Business Analyst (BA) provides business process analysis and SAP configuration expertise to identify problems and realize opportunities for improvement to Applied Medical's business operations. The BA supports Applied Medical's internal customers by maintaining and expanding the functionality of SAP in the Quality Management module. As an SAP QM Business Analyst, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities during the designated periods:Performance Objectives:Within your first 30 - 60 days:Learn and familiarize yourself with departmental and business processes and relevant software technologies.Participate in the development and implementation and new systems and solutions.Engage with internal customers and various business functions, particularly Quality Systems, Regulatory, and Quality Control teams.Understand customers' needs and identify opportunities to automate processes related to Quality Management.Within your first 60 - 90 days and beyond:Design prototype solutions or mockups for Applied's SAP ERP system with a focus on Quality Management.Research, evaluate, and implement new business technology solutions.Manage projects of varying size and scope with minimal direction including project planning and execution.Deliver portfolio of approved system projects and deliverables on time, with expected quality and value added.Ongoing support and maintain existing SAP enterprise systems, focusing on SAP QM.Collaborate with global team members to ensure successful completion of requests.Continuously acquire knowledge and skills in enterprise scale application design, development, and implementation of systems, such as SAP and web applications.Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements aligned with Quality Management best practices.Provide subject matter expertise as the functional owner of SAP QM.Resolve issues and requests related to SAP QM accurately and in a timely manner.Coordinate end-user training documentation and ensure effective system understanding related to Quality Management.Participate in software validation activities to ensure that software solutions are designed to specifications and for intended use.Manage software-related projects and ensure that business solutions are designed, developed, and implemented according to the business needs. Position RequirementsThis position requires the following skills and attributes:Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field.More than five years in an Information Technology related field.Minimum eight years SAP QM Experience.Hands-on experience in full cycle implementation of SAP QM.Excellent problem-solving skills.Exceptional interpersonal and team collaboration skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail.Familiarity with SAP's ecosystem of solutions and solutions providers.Ability to guide business decisions on functionality, software selection, and vendor selection.Experience in configuring and using SAP Quality Management System.Clear understanding of Catalogs, Notifications, Inspection Plans, and Master Inspection Characteristics.Expertise in managing requirements and practicing effective scope management.
