COPC is the largest independent physician-owned Primary Care Group in the US. We are seeking a full-time licensed and board-certified Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for one of our established practices in an emerging suburb of Columbus, Ohio.

About the practice :

Located at 738 West Coshocton St.,Johnstown, Ohio, this practice is a quick 20 minute drive from New Albany, Gahanna, Westerville and Sunbury.

It has two Family Medicine Physicians and several Office Medical Assistants to support the providers. There is one retiring physician leaving in early 2025. The incoming Physician will inherit an established patient panel from the retiring physician.

This Physician Group is an well-known outpatient practice that has had a great reputation for patient care in the community for many years. It's focus is on health education, preventive medicine and disease management to deliver high quality patient care that is the Best for Primary Care.

Office Hours:

8-5:00 pm Mon-Thurs., 8-12:00 pm on Friday. (Schedule is flexible)

Great way to start or continue your career with established panel of patients!A growing patient population at a Family Medicine practice with a great reputation for patient care.Telehealth appointments are provided.COPC Hospitalists that cover COPC patients who are hospitalized at certain local hospitals.COPC has Same Day Centers to care for your patients who require immediate care when you are not available.COPC cares for over 35% of the marketplace.Independent physician-owned group.Family Medicine specialty interest(s) a plus.COPC has its own lab, radiology, vaccine repository, physical therapy, and infusion services.Responsibilities:The Family Medicine role primarily focuses on providing general health maintenance for patients, preventative care, health education and treatment for common illnesses, especially in a non-emergency situation.Routine check-ups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, screening tests, prescription medication, and personalized guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.Maintain accurate patient health records. COPC uses EPIC EMR.Diagnose and treat various health issues, including chronic illnesses like diabetes and hypertension, as well as minor ailments like the common cold and flu.When patients present conditions that require specific expertise, they refer these patients to appropriate specialists for further examinations and treatments.Requirements:

Doctor of Medicine, MD/DO.Completion of three-year Family Medicine Residency.Board certification in Family Medicine.Extensive medical knowledge, including understanding various diseases, their diagnoses and appropriate treatments, and preventive healthcare methodsExcellent communication skills. Must be able to clearly explain complex medical conditions and treatments and listen to a patient's concerns with empathy.Effective problem-solving abilities are essential in this role. A physician must be able to analyze a patient's symptoms and medical history, make accurate diagnoses and chart the best course of treatment.The ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain patience while dealing with patients of all ages, backgrounds and temperaments is of utmost importance.
