TOGETHER, WE SAVE LIVESOverviewThe Regional Manager’s focus is developing and selling to the Law Enforcement and Public Safety agencies in the designated market.ResponsibilitiesService existing accounts, obtain orders, establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customersAdjust content of sales presentations by studying the customer type and competitive environmentIdentify sales opportunities, assist in guiding the account to the correct product, request sales quotes from Customer ServiceSubmit orders to customer service by referring to part numbers and agency purchasing guidelinesKeep management informed by submitting activity and results reports.Leverage the company CRM system daily to build and manage the sales pipeline, to inform revenue and demand guidance, to measure KPI’s and optimize performance.Utilize CRM data to analyze the marketplace, build pipeline business, develop deeper market penetration and seek to displace the competition.Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hoursRecommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive intelligenceResolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to managementResponsible for establishing good working relationships with vendor reps and developing excellent product knowledgeMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending regional tradeshows and training events, reviewing professional publications and competitor’s catalogs, establishing personal networks with key customers and vendorsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementReports directly to VP of Sales or Regional Sales DirectorManages regional sales budgetQualificationsCustomer ServiceMeeting Sales Goals / Closing SalesTerritory ManagementNegotiationTwo or more years of law enforcement or emergency services sales experienceFour (4) year degree or equivalent experience in Business Sales and MarketingLaw Enforcement / Military Experience a plusAverage at least 12 physical sales calls per weekSet up at least two (2) regional vendor demonstrations per yearAbility to present information to individual or groups and to communicate effectivelyAbility to handle and complete multiple projects within deadlinesMust be able to meet sales goals and able to generate and close salesMust be skilled with personal computers, MS Office products and the InternetDetail and result orientedAbility to accomplish tasks and processes accurately and completelyAbility to facilitate the flow of work for a process or a procedureAbility to actively participate as a member of a team to move toward the completion of goalsAbility to adhere to Company policies and proceduresAbility to adhere to Company safety policies and proceduresMust be able to present a clean, professional imageMust be able to keep work environment clean, presentable, and safeAbility to pass criminal background checkMust have a record of stability with employment historyMust maintain a reliable personal vehicleMust have an 'owners not renters' mentalityMust reside in ConnecticutThe Safariland Group believes in the benefits of a diverse workforce and is committed to equal opportunity and affirmative actions.
