Description: A Lead Structural Analyst job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Lexington, KY. This job is a full-time direct position. To be considered for this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and at least 5 years of experience analyzing gas turbine components.Job Duties:- Provide leadership to a team of structural analysts in support of gas turbine components- Provide technical direction, review, and approve work for the team- Manage daily/weekly activities of the team- Liaise with other teams as required- Maintain strong communication with the internal project management and with the client- Maintain positive interactions with the team and client- Manage your project work and provide mentorship to othersRequired:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent- Five or more years of structural analysis of turbomachinery- Solid understanding of structural load paths and failure modes- Strong hand calculation skills and finite element analysis capabilities using Ansys (FEA)- Static and fatigue analysis experience- Prior leadership and mentoring experience- Experience writing technical analysis reports- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, time management skills, and attention to detail- Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment- Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required- Travel to customer locations as requiredPreferred:- Crack propagation analysis experience- Experience with programming languages- Proficient in Ansys APDL (Classic)- Experience in Ansys nCode- Experience in DARWIN Crack Growth SoftwareWe provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position offers a salary range of $85,000 to $120,000.
