Ascension Global Staffing and Executive Search is seeking a Real Estate Attorney for our Am Law 200 law firm client's DC office. Our client's Real Estate Practice Group seeks a Senior Associate/Counsel/Junior Partner with 7+ years of experience representing Borrowers/Owners/Investors in commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and financings to join their Washington DC team. With over 40 practitioners, our client’s Real Estate Practice Group is known for handling complex and sophisticated real estate transactions. The Washington DC practice remains extremely active as its real estate clients continue to pursue transactions in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and nationally.

Qualified candidates will possess extensive experience representing Borrowers/Owners/Investors including: (1) reviewing and negotiating sophisticated joint venture agreements with private equity real estate funds and investors; (2) reviewing and negotiating loan documents on behalf of Borrowers; and (3) representing clients in buying, selling and financing commercial real estate (and drafting, reviewing and negotiating related documentation). Experience with hospitality transactions, including the acquisition of branded hotels and negotiating hotel management agreements, is a plus but not required.

The ideal candidate will have significant recent “big law” firm experience, strong writing, organizational and analytical skills, the ability to run transactions autonomously and as part of a team, and experience in mentoring and managing junior colleagues.

Our client’s Washington DC office has been recognized as one of the Washington Post ’s Top Workplaces for 10 consecutive years. They currently have a hybrid work policy, with Monday and Friday as WFH days. DC bar membership is required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
