Job DescriptionRole Title: Senior Project ManagerSummaryOne of the most sustainable companies in the world, we are a Certified B-Corp custom furniture company that works with a network of fabrication partners to design and deliver ancillary FF&E, contract furniture, and architectural product solutions to corporate, hospitality, and educational customers across the country.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project manager to join our growing team and customer portfolio, that includes the country’s best architects, interior designers, furniture dealers, and national brands.Independently and as part of a team, the Senior Project Manager will provide primary support to Founders. Driving organization and process improvements in a high-growth, startup environment with B2B and e-commerce sales channels.Drive long-term strategic initiatives while also managing daily and weekly tasks to manage a customer region - leading a design team, overseeing the fabrication process, ensuring quality standards, and spearheading business development efforts. The Senior Project Manager should have a robust understanding, network, and proven track record in the contract/custom furniture industry.The Senior Project Manager must be able to build and manage client relationships, collaborating with others on high-level design concepts, developing project scopes and budgets, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle—from design development to fabrication administration and fulfillment.Major Roles/ResponsibilitiesProject Management:Oversee all aspects of assigned contract furniture projects, from initial client meetings to final installation.Collaborate with customers, fabrication partners, and team to understand their specific needs and translate them into functional and aesthetically pleasing designs - developing design details, pricing, and establish project lead times and deadlines. This may include collaborating on design concepts from initial sketches to detailed AutoCAD drawings, providing technical expertise during site reviews, and compiling detailed FF&E specification information.Communicate with and lead customers through the formal design process, develop shop drawings/details in conjunction with team designer(s) and samples with fabrication partners for customer review and approval.Oversee the fabrication of furniture designs with our network of fabrication partners, from start to finish throughout the Mid-Atlantic. Help identify additional high quality, long-term fabrication partners appropriate to custom project(s) and product(s) scale as needed.Post-approval, communicate with clients to keep informed of design progress and ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks.Coordinate supplier deliveries with staging warehouses, finding cost-effective solutions to delivery and warehouse staging issues as projects get larger.Act as on-site liaison for critical deliveries and/or manage team(s) to install designs as needed. Ensure that all products meet quality standards and manage team to fabricate small scale repairs, modifications, and/or complex designs as needed.Business Development:Identify and qualify potential customer leads, nurturing them through the sales cycle, building strong relationships with architects, designers, and other industry professionals in your region.Prepare compelling proposals and presentations that showcase our company's expertise and value proposition. As needed, this may include developing new design concepts, creating prototypes, and working with team members and partners to bring designs to market.Assist in the planning and execution of ICFF/Neocon/etc. trade shows to market product lines.Lead lunch & learn presentations at architecture firms, interior design firms, and at local furniture dealers to build relationships with current and future clients.Assist with the long-term standardization of finishes, design collections, offerings, and processes across manufacturers/regions.Maintain a strong understanding of furniture design trends, materials, and fabrication processes.Qualifications8+ years minimum from interior design to project management, sales, and marketing within the Contract Furnishings and Architectural Products industry.2 or 4-year degree in interior design, architecture, or related field preferred. Commercial experience required; residential experience a plus.Strong understanding of how to read and use architectural drawings.Knowledge of AutoCAD/Adobe suite, CET, or similar FF&E software and standard applications a plusExperience in business development and sales.Excellent presentation and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively and independently with tact and discretion.Highly organized, reliable, and capable of meeting deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism with high end clients and high profile jobsWillingness to travel and work additional hours occasionally.Compensation And Benefits401K Matching (up to 6%)Full Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Coverage(4) Weeks Annual Paid Leave (plus an additional 10 paid holidays).(20) hours of paid time to volunteer at environmental nonprofits per year. $500 Stipend to Donate to Environmental Nonprofits of your choice per year.SkillsCETAutoCAD
