This role involves the development and execution of BI strategies, implementation of data visualization tools, and fostering the adoption of data-driven decision-making processes. Business Intelligence & Visualization Lead also oversees the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI COE), ensuring its alignment with organizational goals, and optimizing its contribution to the generation of actionable insights.
Your key responsibilities:
You will collaborate with multifaceted teams of specialists spread across various locations to offer a broad spectrum of data and analytics solutions. You will address complicated challenges and propel advancement within the Enterprise Data & Analytics function.
Specifically:
Develop, execute, and maintain a comprehensive BI and data visualization strategy that aligns with organizational goals, and supports data-driven decision-making.Lead the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI COE), focusing on the development of BI strategies, methodologies, best practices, and standards to promote analytical excellence.Manage the design, development, and deployment of advanced data visualizations and dashboards, ensuring usability and effectiveness in communicating complex data insights.Foster relationships with business units to understand their data needs and ensure that BI solutions are tailored accordingly.Evaluate, select, and implement business intelligence and data visualization tools and technologies; stay current with industry trends and emerging tools.Define and track performance metrics for BI and data visualization initiatives and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.Create and enforce policies and procedures that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.Foster a data-driven culture through training, mentorship, and evangelizing the benefits and capabilities of BI and data visualization across the organization.Develop scalable BI reporting processes that optimize data extraction, transformation, and presentation of insights.Collaborate with the data governance team to ensure alignment of BI and data visualization initiatives with governance policies and standards.To qualify for the role, you must have:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.Minimum 15 years of experience in implementing large scale Data & Analytics platform in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, on-prem and Hybrid environment.Minimum 5 years of experience in leading and managing various functional team within ED&A such as data analysis, business intelligence, data visualization, reports and dashboards.Experience in leading BI engineering teams and delivering data capabilities in following waterfall, iterative, scaled agile, scrum, and kanban methodologies.Experience Expertise in BI methodologies and data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAP BusinessObjects (BO), IBM Cognos, ThoughtSpot, Amazon QuickSight, and SnowSight.In-depth knowledge of data lake, data warehouse, data vault, data mesh, data marketplace and data science concepts.Hands-on experience with On-prem & cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, AWS Aurora, Oracle Exadata, SQL server, Hadoop, Spark, SAS and R.Experience in Implementing tools and services in data security and data governance domains such as data modeling, data classification, data access control, data masking, data quality, metadata management, catalog, auditing, balancing, reconciliation, and data privacy compliance like GDPR & CCPA.Experience in handling high volume of data in structure, semi-structured and unstructured formats such as relational, flat files, XML, JSON, Parquet, Avro, Mainframe copybooks, CSV, Fixed with and hierarchy files.Experience in Cloud transformation and implemented various strategies such as Rehost, Re-platform, Repurchase, Refactor / Re-architect , Retire , and Retain.Experience with DevOps and DataOps products such as Jenkins, Git, GITLab, Maven, Bitbucket, and JiraExperience with log integration and observability products such as Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, AppDynamics, and CloudWatchExcellent data analysis, profiling and statistics skills coupled with proficiency in SQL tools and technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Pandas, and NumPy.Proven history of establishing and driving the vision and direction of a Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (BI COE).Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data concepts and insights to diverse audiences, including executives, in a clear and engaging manner.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with an aptitude for solving complex problems using data.Experience in managing cross-functional teams, with a focus on talent development and building a culture of analytical excellence.Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data warehousing principles.Advanced experience with data wrangling tools and techniques to prepare data for analysis.Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.Thorough understanding of data governance and compliance policies.Excellent communication, collaboration, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
