Job SummaryManage critical organizational data and data systems, using data to provide meaningful, consistent, comprehensive and insightful business intelligence and reporting solutions for supported teams. Provide system administrative support for data extract processes and reporting tools, including training and support for user community.LOCATIONRemote - UtahSCHEDULEFull-time; Monday - Friday 9:00am - 6:00pmJob DescriptionIdentifies and recommends methods to normalize and maintain data from disparate systems. Works closely with ETL Developers throughout the EDW development lifecycle.Works with internal and external data users to identify requirements to deliver high quality BI solutions and analyses and takes ownership for data and report quality.Translates and documents results of requirements gathering into a standard format to be used to create the appropriate Business Intelligence (BI) solution.Leads in the collection of system/business requirements and the documentation of business and technical data dictionaries/metadata and specifications in support of complex strategic EDW solutions. Prepares documentation for ETL Developers for integration of new data into EDW.Applies industry standards to the technical architecture of a Business Intelligence solution (Stars, Cubes, etc.) to solve business problems or increase business efficiency.Manages user acceptance testing of reporting modules, analyzes test results, and corrects problems.Establishes data quality standards and data governance protocols.Coordinates with ETL Developers to create and support Business Intelligence environment.Identifies and works with appropriate staff to resolve technical issues.Provides on-going data consultation, including training end users on data usage and BI toolsCollects and analyzes external market data to provide benchmarks for comparison purposesPerforms additional duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, And ABILITIES5 years of experience gathering requirements and designing data products (e.g. dashboards, tables, pipelines, warehouses)Banking/Finance experience preferredEducationBachelor’s degree is data science, data analytics, computer science, business, or related field OR 3 additional combined years of experience in a progressive business intelligence analytics position.Computer/Office Equipment SkillsAbility to demonstrate strong knowledge and experience using T-SQL and MS-SQL or other data extraction coding languages.Strong knowledge of data warehouse architecture, data modeling, data cubes, etc. and experience using standard query techniques to access SQL Server or other relational databases.Data reporting and analytics competencies (content knowledge).Experience with detailed data reporting over complex data systems, including many-to-many databases and cross-server data solutions.Experience with management of BI systems for a large organization.Advanced level skill for Excel.Intermediate knowledge in analytical software such as Tableau, Power BI, Oracle, Google Analytics.Managerial ResponsibilityDoes not have managerial responsibility.Language SkillsDemonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology, results and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrationsDemonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization.Other Skills And AbilitiesExperience building reporting solutions from scratch, data visualization, and creating clean, user-focused visualizations.Experience collaborating on projects involving multiple teams, managing ongoing relationships with customers, and navigating unstructured environments.Experience leading contributions of others and developing colleagues’ capabilities in reporting tools, business analysis methods, and techniques.Knowledge of statistical analysisKnowledge of data management practices, including data governance and data qualityDemonstrated experience managing projects with multiple stakeholdersAbility to work both autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Self-starter with strong organizing and time management skills and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and timelinesAdaptive to change, responds positively to altered circumstances or conditionsPossess a desire and willingness to learn and continually update knowledge base on financial concepts, strategies, systems etc.Physical Abilities / Working ConditionsPhysical DemandsAbility to sit, talk and hear consistentlyAbility use hands to handle or reach occasionallyVision RequirementsClose vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)Weight Lifted or Force ExertedAbility to lift up to 10 pounds occasionallyEnvironmentalThere are no unusual environmental factors (such as a typical office)Noise EnvironmentModerate noise (business office with computers and printers, light traffic)
