Summary

Promote and sell company products to customers through direct customer contact. Assist with the development and administration of sales and marketing strategy, objectives and initiatives to maximize profit and realize market share. Assist in the work of other sales managers and staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operate as the point of contact for core customer base, by handling day-to-day customer communications, providing quotations, and processing customer contracts.Visit customers, attend trade shows, and other industry events to strengthen the customer relationship.Complete compliance applications and continually communicate status with customersAssist with development of annual budget, mid-term and long-term business plans.Collaborate with internal departments such as Quality, Engineering, Tech Services, and Order Fulfillment to meet customer requirements and achieve sales goals.Travel up to 30% in North America.Skills and Specifications

Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets to organize and analyze data.Ability to meticulously review customer contracts and accurately communicate requirements within the organization.Excellent written and verbal communicationAbility to operate in a multi-cultural business environment.

Education and Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering preferred.• Two plus years' experience in sales, preferably in the composite material or structures business, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.• This position involves working with technologies and information which are subject to U.S. export control regulations. Under these regulations, Toray CMA must review certain candidate information including citizenship, basis of United States work authorization and country of origin. This information would be used for export control screening purposes only.

Position requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities. Position frequently requires the ability to make quick decisions related to sales and marketing issues. Ability to set priorities. Ability to utilize interpersonal and teamwork skills, perform basic mathematical computations, provide analytical analysis and to understand and apply work specifications in the completion of work tasks. The ability to hear, speak, use hands/fingers and the repetitive motions of hands/wrists are occasional. Ability to occasionally lift 10 pounds. Vision abilities require the adjustment and focus of sight. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
