ECS is seeking a System Administrator (HPC) (Senior) to work in our Morgantown, WV office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Description:
ECS is seeking a qualified System Administrator (HPC) (Senior) to support transformative science and technology solutions for the Department of Energy.
Supervise and manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of systems which may be mainframe, mini, or client/server based. Plan and monitor the optimizing of system operation and resource utilization, and perform systems capacity analysis and planning. Plan and monitor assistance to users in accessing and using business systems.
Daily job responsibilities may include: Administer VMware virtual environments to include ESXi hosts, vCenter appliances, VxRail HCIs, and VSANs Creates and maintains detailed system documentation. Provides system/equipment/specialized training and technical guidance. Maintains current knowledge of rapidly changing technology, always on the lookout for new technologies, and works with management to evolve current processes. Download, stage and deploy systems-related security policies and updates to maintain information system compliance with DISA security policies and procedures (STIGs, IAVAs, etc.) Develop scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) to perform recurring systems administration tasks, automate installs, gather metrics, etc. Administer Microsoft Active Directory environments with an emphasis in the following areas: Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019 Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2016 Win dows SharePoint 2013, 2016 Microsoft SQL 2012, 2014, 2016 Group policy deployment and design Active directory design to include DNS configuration, Sites and Services, etc. SCCM configuration and administration Software deployment/upgrades Windows 10 operating system maintenance and deployments Deploy Operating System updates Participates in special projects as assigned.
Required Skills: Master's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field AND four years of related work experience AND one or more Linux/Cloud certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Cloud+, LPIC, Cloud Architect/Engineer Certificate or relevant subject matter equivalent certification) OR Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field AND six years of related work experience AND one or more Linux/Cloud certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Cloud+, LPIC, Cloud Architect/Engineer Certificate or relevant subject matter equivalent certification) OR Ten years of related work experience AND one or more Linux/Cloud certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, CompTIA Linux+, CompTIA Cloud+, LPIC, Cloud Architect/Engineer Certificate or relevant subject matter equivalent certification) Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or DOE Q clearance throughout the life of the contract Must be a US Citizen Must currently live in Morgantown, WV or willing to relocate Ability to work independently and as part of a team
