This role is based out of Bangalore office in Whitefield.
As an Engineer – PMS, you will design, plan, test internal control systems, and deliver OSI control systems as part of a project team. Specific, on-the-job training will be provided.
Your Impact
Testing of internal SCADA systems for each patch cycle and publish the results to US.
Support our customers for the Patch Management and Security software.
Deployment and verification of patches for the OSI’s software.
Deployment and verification of patches for the Windows and Linux operating systems.
Design, plan, test SCADA and power system applications in internal systems.
Product Installation, configuration, upgrade and test the system functionalities using the product FAT procedures/Custom procedures.
Prepare system for upgrading to the latest release of compiles (Product Binaries).
Implement stress cases and simulation cases on the test system to verify the stability.
Publish notifications on the Technical Red Flags to the internal teams.
Create Work Requests for issues and work with development team to get it fixed.
Work with documentation team to modify/update configuration and other documents based on the product functionality.
Interact with US team to address issues and follow up with issues.
Publish the results to US team after testing.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering or related Engineering field.
2 to 5 years of progressive experience in SCADA/EMS/DMS systems and related field.
Technical background in automation and computers, performance monitoring, optimization, and automation systems construction.
Experience in power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX/Linux/Windows operation systems, C/C++, or database (SQL) concepts.
Experience in SCADA/EMS/DMS application testing.
Hands-on experience on Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems.
Customer facing, technical troubleshooting experience, including at customer sites and remote interactions.
Experience with logging and debugging tools.
Basic knowledge of computer programming, computer architectures, networking, and operating systems.
Ability to learn quickly, independently research, identify and solve technical problems.
