Our attorneys work in a relaxed and friendly environment while providing 5-star service to every client. Jolley & Jolley began with a father and his son exploring the concept of working together in the law to emphasize and advance Fathers Rights in Utah. Over the years, we have seen the importance of the need for a law firm to fight for the rights of Utah Fathers as equal parents with valuable parenting skills that children need.
As part of our firm, you will represent clients in Family Law, draft legal documents, and advise clients on legal matters including, but not limited to: Divorce, Custody, Child Support, Paternity, Protective Orders, and Juvenile Court cases.
Our office is focused on providing a welcoming and comfortable environment to work in with great staff to provide all the support necessary. We hold bi-monthly attorney meetings to talk about how everyone’s cases are going, discuss any new laws or issues that need attention, and to learn from each other. We also have lunch brought in from time to time and have occasional get togethers outside of the office to build rapport together. Everyone is open and willing to help wherever and whenever is needed so that our attorneys can be comfortable and confident in their work and our clients can get the best possible results.
Our Salary Range starts between $120,000 and $140,000 depending on experience. There are also additional benefits and compensation added to the base salary.
Responsibilities:Conduct legal researchPrepare for and attend legal proceedingsProvide legal counsel in conjunction with senior associatesMaintain detailed and accurate client recordsPrepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients while also advising them on any issues relating to Family Law, Divorce, Custody, Child Support and Paternity, Protective Orders, and Juvenile Court casesHave the ability to complete 130 billable hours per monthCommunicate effectively and timely with clientsNegotiate settlements for legal disputesComply with all legal standards, regulations and deadlinesAttend hearings, mediations and trialsMaintain a professional attitude and attire
Qualifications:Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law schoolUtah Bar Admission is required. Please also indicate any other bar admissions on resumeActive member of the American Bar Association (ABA)At least 1 year of experience in Utah Family LawRequired to have experience with Utah procedures in family lawRequire to have experience with protective orders and juvenile court matters (experience filing via CARE is a bonus)Experience in civil litigation and criminal defense is a bonus but not requiredStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to prioritize and multitaskDeadline- and detail-orientedExcellent organizational skillsStrong negotiation and problem-solving skillsAbility to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clientsFamiliarity with Microsoft Office suiteFamiliarity with Amicus Pro or other billing software
