What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Find and evaluate development opportunities, conduct feasibility analysis, and create development strategiesObtain project financing and coordinate negotiation of legal agreementsManage development team and oversee design, construction, and other consultantsObtain public approval and permits for projectsMonitor construction progress, resolve conflicts, and manage project budgetAssist Property Management Department with project transition and ongoing operationAdvocate for affordable housing and stay informed of public policies
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in architecture, real estate development, finance, planning, or construction managementMinimum 3 years of related work or field work experience in affordable housing developmentAbility to work congenially with individuals, community-based organizations, and governmental entitiesStrong project management and communication skills
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in residential architecture, finance, planning, or constructionMaster's degree in a relevant fieldThought-provoking and detail-oriented mindsetAbility to work well in a team and drive new ventures
