Senior Cost Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team.The Senior Cost Accountant position requires a minimum of 5+ years of costing and inventory accounting/analysis experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills are a must. The ideal candidate is a technical thinker who has ability to transfer details into the big picture with focusing on process improvement. Previous experience in the high volume manufacturing cost accounting is a MUST.ResponsibilitiesAssists in developing standard cost and labor and overhead ratesPerforms analysis of product and project costs including material variances and labor efficienciesPerforms physical inventory count reconciliationsAssists in month end general ledger close and prepare journal entriesAssists in the preparation of budget, forecast and variance analysisDevelops process improvements and/or procedural controlsAssists in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other internal and external financial reportingSupports financial reviews and audits conducted by independent auditorsMay be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
