Senior Cost Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team.The Senior Cost Accountant position requires a minimum of 5+ years of costing and inventory accounting/analysis experience in a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills are a must. The ideal candidate is a technical thinker who has the ability to transfer details into the big picture while focusing on process improvement. Previous experience in high-volume manufacturing cost accounting is a MUST.Responsibilities
Assists in developing standard cost and labor and overhead rates.Performs analysis of product and project costs including material variances and labor efficiencies.Performs physical inventory count reconciliations.Assists in month-end general ledger close and prepares journal entries.Assists in the preparation of budget, forecast, and variance analysis.Develops process improvements and/or procedural controls.Assists in preparing income statements, balance sheets, and other internal and external financial reporting.Supports financial reviews and audits conducted by independent auditors.May be required to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
