This is a fantastic opportunity to be a contributor in Motorola Solutions’ growing Rave Mobile Safety software business. This role will be a finance analyst supporting products within the Rave Mobile Safety portfolio. The person in this role will work closely with the product, sales, and GTM finance teams to track the success of Rave Mobile Safety products and will be instrumental in telling the story of how our product development and go-to-market strategies drive financial performance, including the integration of Rave products with the broader Motorola product portfolio.Job Description
In this role, you will be a finance business partner supporting the Rave Mobile Safety business, one of Motorola’s largest and most recent acquisitions.You will be primarily responsible for:Assisting in driving and projecting revenue and gross margin profitability through analytics, expense management, variance analysis and investigation, department ownership, and creating visibility for leaders to derive actionable insightsAnalyze departmental operating expenses and variance analysis.Assist in preparation of financial dashboards and reporting of key performance metrics using accurate and quality data.Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual budget forecasting cycles and working with department managers to collect inputs and perform analytical reviews.Run monthly trial balances during flash cycles and investigate differences against plan and forecastEnsure data accuracy and reconciliation to financial systems.Assist with financial modeling in a variety of ad hoc scenariosSupport capital budget forecasting and explain variances to actualsUnderstand the relationship of cost of sales to revenue and which levers to manage to drive up gross margin.Play a proactive role in implementing new procedures to improve efficiency, automation and integration of disparate systems.This position will play a critical role in supporting the Rave Mobile Safety business as the organization continues to transform. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious candidate that wants to develop and establish new processes to effectively partner with the business team and drive results.Additional Skills:Strong analytical and organizational skills; and curiosity to develop new methods and processes.Prior audit experience preferred, not required.Exercises good judgment, flexibility, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment under time constraints and across a matrix organization.Strong system skills including MS Office/Google Suite and Tableau; Oracle, SmartView, Sage Intacct are a plus.Basic Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required2+ years of experience working in Finance / Accounting / FP&A roleTravel Requirements
