Attorney needed for Glendale office

A law firm is seeking an Attorney for their Glendale office. The Attorney will focus on prosecuting consumer and employment class and representative actions, handling matters such as wage-and-hour disputes, unfair business practices, discrimination cases, and false advertising claims.Duties:Prosecute consumer and employment class and representative actionsHandle cases involving wage-and-hour disputes, unfair business practices, discrimination, and false advertising mattersConduct legal research and draft legal documentsEngage in motion practice, including drafting and arguing motionsParticipate in discovery process, including taking and defending depositionsRepresent clients in court proceedings and oral advocacyRequirements:Must be licensed to practice law in California or already licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction and pending admission to the California Bar1-3 years of experience in civil litigationExperience with discovery in the civil litigation contextAbility to appear in court and handle motion practiceExperience with taking and defending depositionsEducation:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolCertifications:Admission to the California Bar or eligibility for admission pending admission to the California BarSkills:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong research and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentPrior experience with class actions, complex litigation, and wage and hour litigation is a plusCompany info
