Anthropic is seeking an experienced GSOC & Travel Security Program Manager to oversee the build-out and management of our Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and the implementation and management of our traveler programs. This hybrid role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of Anthropic's facilities, assets, and people worldwide.About AnthropicAnthropic is an AI safety and research company that’s working to build reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. Our interdisciplinary team has experience across ML, physics, policy, business and product.Responsibilities:Oversee 24/7 global monitoring for security threats and incidents across the organization's facilities, assets, and people.Establish policies, procedures, and technical integration requirements for intrusion detection, access controls, video surveillance, and other security monitoring tools to feed into the GSOC.Hire, train, and manage an operator team to monitor, assess, classify, and coordinate incident response procedures based on security policies.Develop and oversee quality assurance testing and improvement programs to continually advance GSOC response capabilities.Create and automate daily, weekly, and monthly analytics/metrics reporting on global security incidents, trends, and business impact analysis.Coordinate and dispatch incident response resources, including in-house security teams and external emergency services providers.Establish policies and procedures for employees conducting work across different travel security levels, including localization, personnel tracking, threat monitoring, and evacuation preparedness.Develop and implement mandatory pre-travel security and safety orientation programs tailored to destination risk profiles.Monitor global incidents and advisories during active employee travel to identify emerging response needs and coordinate support in alignment with duty of care objectives.Manage a 24/7 travel assistance provider contract to provide global travel medical/security help services for traveling employees as needed.Provide customized briefings, destination intelligence reports, and personalized tracking/response capabilities to employees and executives traveling internationally.You may be a good fit if you have:5+ years of relevant experience managing a GSOC or travel programExperience managing 24/7 global security operations centers and incident response coordinationKnowledge of travel risk management policies and practices for employees abroadAbility to monitor threats across the organization and dispatch appropriate resourcesStrong communication skills to train teams and brief executivesAnalytical skills to generate reports on security incidents and trendsExperience building a GSOC and other physical security programs from the ground upPassion for Anthropic's mission of ensuring safe AI developmentStrong candidates may also have:Intelligence or military background in security operations and emergency responseIndustry certifications in security operations or risk managementExperience with security technologies and integrationManagement of global security programs for large multinational organizationsCandidates need not have:Certifications or educational credentialsPrior experience working in the AI fieldAnnual Salary (USD)The expected salary range for this position is $220k-$275k.LogisticsLocation-based policy: We expect staff in this role to be in office 5 days/week for the first year.Deadline to apply: None.
