Position Summary & Job DutiesThe Third Party Billing Specialist will:Determine solvency and acceptable payment practices of companies, various military departments, and other entities sponsoring students' education by paying tuition and fees.
Manage sponsored students, invoice third-party sponsors, track payments, authorize refunds, and resolve issues.
Bill and collect over $1 million each semester, reconcile student accounts, work with Financial Aid Office for compliance, and manage refunds.
Remove registration holds, monitor student payments, decide on advancing financial aid, and review credit balances.
Create and update forms, policy manuals, and provide backup support to other billing positions.
Customer Service and Office OperationsUnderstand and interpret rules and regulations, support Office of the Bursar, manage phone and email inquiries, and resolve account-related issues.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or 3+ years of relevant experience
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:1 year of higher education experience
1 year in Banner Accounts Receivable and student account collection
Knowledge of compliance issues related to student accounts
Salary for AnnouncementThe salary range for this position is $41,200 - $51,500. Actual salary based on internal equity, experience, and qualifications.Work Hours/TypeMonday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Hybrid schedule available, with flexibility during peak times
