Job Description

Position Summary: Manage incoming donations, unloading and storing the received items, and processing any returns. Assist with picking up donated items from donors' homes and stock floor. This position will process donated materials by performing the following duties:

Essential Responsibilities:

Greet donors promptly and courteously.Assess and receive donated goods, assisting donor in moving the goods as needed.Move donated goods to sorting areas, sales areas, or recycling areas as needed.Process all merchandise efficiently and properly following the standards and quotas of The Salvation Army.Price merchandise per Salvation Army policy.Move stock, and retrieve storage boxes, to and from storage area.Move wooden pallets as necessary.Assemble and place "gaylord boxes" onto pallets.Place recycled items into appropriate boxes/bins/bailer.Shovel snow, operate snow-blower or power mower.Assist in bailing of items to be recycled.Be able to do donation pickups in 12 passenger vans.As needed, go along with truck driver for assisting in donation pick-ups.Keep the receiving and sorting area clean and orderly.Track and report donation items and bailer information.Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma / GED, or equivalent combination of education andSkills, Knowledge Abilities:

Computer Skills:

Working knowledge in Microsoft Office 365.Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint.Willingness to learn new software as needed.Certificates and Licenses:

Must have and maintain a current valid chauffer's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR) (or gain it within 60 days).Obtain Hi-Lo Certification through The Salvation Army within 30 days.Complete Safe from Harm training and keep current as needed.Additional Information
