Data Scientist.
This position will be joining our team based in the
Tysons, VA area.This position will focus on development for advanced search and data analytics to enable users of our cloud-based application. The developer will be responsible for understanding and improving underlying data models, building new ways to enrich and correlate the data, and communicating system features and concepts to other team members, end users, and program management. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the development team, debugging various development and O&M processes, and maintaining system documentation.Key Responsibilities:Work with fellow team members to understand user requirements, design application features, and build advanced application capabilities for search and discovery.Leverage Data Science expertise to craft AI/ML features on structured data, then work with the development team to make those features into application services.Assist data engineers with data modeling and ETL processes to make raw data usable within the ecosystem of our search application.Contribute to the long-term vision and roadmap for our systems to continually improve the power, speed, and usability of our services.Required Qualifications:12+ years of relevant experienceStrong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle on cloud infrastructureExperience programming in Python, Java, or other related programming languagesExperience with supervised and unsupervised learning techniquesHands-on experience working with RESTful APIsExperience with relational databases and NoSQL databasesKnowledge of software practices and configuration management.Experience with JIRA, Git, Artifactory, or related toolsExperience working on large, mission-critical software projectsExperience with Amazon Web ServicesAbility to work effectively in a dynamic team environmentDesired Qualifications:Experience with person entity resolution across datasetsExperience with visualization frameworks such as D3.js, V Charts, or ChartkickExperience working with Graph databases.Experience with ElasticsearchExperience with Extract, Load, and Transform (ETL) toolsExperience working in an Agile development environmentPosition Clearance Requirement:TS/SCI with FSPPlease be aware many of our positions require the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S security clearance which requires U.S citizenship.NS2 Mission is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
