Senior Vice President of Sales
and member of the
Executive Team
to:Provide leadership to the Sales Organization.Develop and execute plans and processes which drive revenue growth, program diversity growth, organic program growth, and CareStar’s footprint in multiple States.Deliver financial profitability.THE POSITIONDevelops, communicates, consistently updates, and executes strategy for the development of current and prospective business across all sales channels.Manages and coordinates the Sales functions of the organization (e.g., RFP and Grant Proposals, Managed Care Contracting, Healthcare Entity Contracting, etc.).Issues and achieves specific annual objectives, such as sales goals, to immediate direct reports, and their teams, and reviews the accomplishment of these objectives.Directly supervises, manages, and oversees the team of Sales-focused positions.Works with President and CEO and Executive Management Team to develop, achieve and succeed at attaining all tactics in CareStar’s Strategic Plan.Develops the organization’s understanding, cataloging, and knowledge of the external marketing of CareStar’s Competitors.Develops, in coordination with the Executive Team, CareStar’s value proposition, unique qualifications and capabilities, and go-to-market strategy.Manages and oversees the development of information technology tracking of the sales channel pipeline and progress to achieving identified goals and objectives.Maintains a CRM of all sales opportunities, contacts, statuses, and next steps.Attends sales meetings, following up on productivity and leads, developing industry relationships and negotiating contracts.Develops and participates in sales presentations across all potential customers.Significant travel to customer and potential customer site(s).Adheres to the CareStar Rule in performance of job responsibilities.Understands and complies with CareStar Policies and Procedures.Maintains confidentiality as related to patient, client, and business information. Any disclosures of confidential information made unlawfully outside the proper course of duty will be treated as a serious disciplinary offense.Follows the Acceptable Use Policy while using any information systems owned or controlled by CareStar, Inc.Qualifications and Education RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in business, sales, marketing, healthcare administration, or related field is required.Master's Degree is desirable.Prior track record of sales success, including experience at the executive level, preferably ten (10) years or more total experience.Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare experience.Minimum of three (3) years – Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare industry value chain, including, but not limited to, funding sources, barriers to care, needs assessments, social determinants of health, etc.Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of an organization, including the Executive level.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to develop, articulate and deliver the Company’s value proposition and service differentiators.Excellent ability to influence others with outstanding follow-up skills and relationship building and maintenance skills.Demonstrated experience developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions.Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.Excellent analytical skills to interpret, present and utilize data for decision-making.Excellent networking, relationship building and customer service skills.Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office Programs, as well as sales and CRM software.Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.THE LOCATIONThis position is open in Cincinnati, OH and will be an office-based position.THE COMPANYCareStar was founded in 1988 in Cincinnati, Ohio with the mission to Improve Communities by Improving Lives.
