Full Time - DaysThe Cardiac Services Director plans, organizes and manages the operation of the Diagnostic Cardiac Services Department. Recommends, develops, implements, and evaluates goals, objectives, policies, and procedures related to diagnostic imaging; provides staff support to higher-level management; and selects, trains, and supervises clinical, technical, and clerical staff. Prepares and maintains department budgets. Leads in the development and monitoring of department specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care of the department.Work Experience:Five years of management experience in a related field with a strong background in Diagnostic Cardiac Services required . Experience with IAC Standards & Guidelines for Echocardiography Accreditation process preferred.License/Registration/Certification:American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); orNuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); orAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) requiredMedical Radiological Technologist (MRT) required for Radiology, CT or Nuclear Medicine.Current CPR required.Education and Training:Associate’s degree of Applied Sciences in related field required.Bachelor’s degree in related field required.Skills:1. Demonstrates independent judgment, resourcefulness, and long-range planning abilities.6. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a technologist.7. Learn, use, and adapt to new computer technologies, including changes to hospital systems and other electronic medical records programs.8. Organize, direct, coordinate and evaluate specialized diagnostic imaging to ensure quality patient diagnosis and care that conforms with prescribed standards and regulations.9. Analyze service delivery problems accurately, develop recommendations and take appropriate action to resolve them.10. Develop, evaluate, and maintain accurate record-keeping systems, prepare complex and detailed written reports, procedures, and contracts.11. Communicate effectively with administrative, medical, professional, and clinical staff and citizen groups12. Work cooperatively with other University Medical Center and County departments, public and private organizations, including public and private medical providers.13. Train staff and coordinate activities of contractors, volunteer groups and staff, as appropriate14.
