Marmon’s strong financial position and access to capital enables our business to grow strategically via innovation, internal investment, and acquisition while experiencing the service and agility of a small business, it also provides the possibility for career advancement.Summary:The EHS Manager will be responsible for leading and enhancing the implementation, coordination and sustainment of EHS programs at multiple manufacturing sites. This would also include championing site-specific initiatives to ensure compliance with local and federal regulations. EHS Manager responsibilities also include recommending equipment upgrades / changes, educating employees / managers as well as analyzing accident investigations to help identify root cause and corrective actions.Essential Functions:Identify EHS, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and DHS regulations applicable to processes at facility and assist in implementing standards, and programsIdentify and recommend improvements to health & safety systems to reduce costs, increase productivity and efficiency, and improve overall safety cultureAssist during interaction with regulatory agenciesServe as subject matter expert, providing technical guidance concerning health & safety issuesKeep apprised of federal, state, and regional laws and regulations affecting locations and maintain working relationships with regulatory agenciesAssist in incidents investigations such as injuries, vehicle accidents and property damageAssist sites to determine root cause of incidents and assist with corrective action plans for each incidentEnsure timely notification is made to regulatory agencies and company management for incidentsMonitor location for unsafe work practices and unsafe work conditionsAssist and coordinate spill response effortsEvaluate operational practices for environmental riskEnsure preparation, submittal, and maintenance of any regulatory environmental reportingCompetencies:Communication ProficiencyProblem SolvingFlexibilityCollaboration SkillsOrganizationMS OfficeRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in an EHS specialty is preferred or minimum of 5 years related experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing environmentsMust be able to effectively communicate, influence and train employeesTravel up to 20%Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
