AI/ML Data Scientist

for the development of advanced algorithms for the energy sector as well as other critical infrastructure.AI/ML Data Scientist Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a background working jointly with distributed processing and backend AI/ML development teams to produce distributed capabilities to enable broad system state awareness. The candidate will help determine, collect, and analyze relevant data sets for our internal AI and Machine Learning pipelines as well as use gained insights to refine models and develop new distributed algorithms.The AI/ML Data Scientist will be responsible for:Developing key components of our product surrounding distributed processing, data aggregation and information sharing capabilities for our AI and ML initiatives.Extending and refining existing intellectual property to meet deficiencies identified through currently held data sets and operator provided data.Implementing repeatable and automated process workflows that can be combined with the software team’s production pipelines.Developing extensible/evolvable data standards to enable distributed sharing and processing of information.Participating in working groups to ensure adherence to industry developed standards and/or capabilities.Working with large-scale data sets, defining data set requirements, facilitating requirements for external testing, and guiding in house simulation capabilities to evolve our Data Science and AI/ML production pipelines.Collaborating across our teams to optimize and test algorithms.Maintaining knowledge of the state of the art and best practices for AI/ML and Data Science.Those passionate about applying their expertise to solve critical problems facing the security and performance of the energy sector who are seeking opportunities for personal and professional growth are strongly encouraged to apply.AI/ML Data Scientist Required Qualifications

Background in data science, data analytics, machine learning, statistics and/or signal processing.Solid foundation in algorithm prototyping, data science and experience with common programming languages (Python, C#, Rust, C++ etc.).Knowledge of data curation and analysis packages (e.g., NumPy, Keras, PyTorch, Pandas, scikit-learn).Experience with ML workflow orchestration tools and DevOps pipelines (Airflow, MLflow, Azure, AWS, Watson and/or Google).Demonstrated experience going from problem statement to prototype and working with experienced software teams to make production-ready algorithms.Experience in parallel, or distributed computing.Experience with modern cloud technologies in AWS and Azure.Eligibility to obtain a United States national security clearance.AI/ML Data Scientist Desirable Qualifications

Formal education / advanced coursework in Data Science, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.Experience with multiple large multimodal AI models.Ability and desire to quickly learn new domains.Proficient in Linux and Windows.Experience working on Department of Energy programs.To apply, please visit the link below.
