Job Description
THE SELECTED CANDIDATE WILL BE OFFERED A SALARY BETWEEN $36,602 - $42,092
ACS’ Division of Child and Family Well-being (CFWB) designs and executes strategies to support caregivers, children, and communities, so they can thrive and enjoy self-determination. A critical piece of CFWB’s portfolio is the operation of the City’s subsidized child care voucher system -- one of the largest child care assistance programs in the country. ACS providers vouchers to tens of thousands of low-income and child welfare-involved families, allowing parents and caregivers to access affordable child care at the provider of their choice while they pursue work, education, or training.
CFWB has three (3) borough-based Resource Areas (RAs) responsible for verifying and re-certifying the eligibility of all low income (non-TANF) families for voucher child-care services. This includes Eligibility Determination and Administrative which includes Intake, Data Entry and Scanning & Indexing.
DE/SI Staff conduct the data entry of case and child information into the Automated Childcare Information System (ACCIS) and scanning & indexing childcare documents into the HRA One Viewer and also enters authorized hours into the Web Enrollment System (WES). The DE/SI staff also liaise with the eligibility staff and team leaders to ensure that the documents are legible and case information is accurate to ensure that cases are readily available to be viewed.
Data entry, updating and maintenance of case and program information in the childcare database of record, the Automated Childcare Information System (ACCIS)
Scan all eligibility documents into the HRA One Viewer, Analyzes scanned documents for clarity and accuracy
Index all case materials and place all scanned document images into appropriate electronic folders
Preparation and mailing of documents to families and community-based programs/providers
Liaise with RA and other Operations staff to distribute completed case files to respective eligibility units for review and follow-up
Oversee and perform as-needed maintenance of Resource Area’s filing system, organize, purge and maintain/retrieve files
Data-enter case information into Control Log and close out data entry/filing tab
Respond to community programs’ request by providing technical assistance and update information regarding enrollment and eligibility procedures
Liaise with Fair Hearing Unit to provide materials and information
Prepare and distribute appropriate communications to parents and programs
Assists with special projects, as needed
