Position Brief – MEP Superintendent
Seeking a hands-on, driven MEP Superintendent to supervise all Framing, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection aspects of the project to ensure schedule completion and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do
You will work with the on-site team of superintendents as a teamYou are responsible for quality control of all trades (i.e. checklists and punch lists)You will coordinate, schedule and monitor work from deck layout thru commissioningReview MEP shop drawings to identify possible conflicts and installation manuals on all equipmentAttend/chair weekly coordination meetings with all trades (including framing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and fire protection) as well as daily huddlesAttend daily huddles with Optima team and subcontractorsAttend weekly lunch and learns with Optima teamEnforce onsite safety programsInterface with governing officials to inspect and approve workInterface with Architect and Subcontractors to process RFI’sMaintain expediting and daily logsCreate and complete punch list to ensure all work is completed in accordance with contract documents and that buyer changes (for condo buildings only) are incorporated into building according to schedule.Monitor equipment startups, commissioning and “as-built” drawings for all MEP systemsWhat You'll Need
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in dealing with MEP tradesFour-year college degree preferredConstructed at least a $25M project start to finishMid- to high-rise Fast-track residential construction experience requiredWhat Will Set You Apart
General knowledge of building and mechanical codes, as well as all framing, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and low voltage systemsBasic knowledge of Lean Construction practicesProficient in Microsoft Office and ProjectProficient in ProcoreDetailed and organizedExcellent communication skills with the ability to provide direction and guidance to skilled trades workersBenefits and Perks
