We are seeking an experienced surgical Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for this PRN role. The Physician Assistant (PA) will join our well established and cohesive surgical team.We are seeking a PA with previous cardiac and thoracic surgery experience. Duties will include endoscopic vein harvest, cardiac surgery first assist, Robotic thoracic surgery bedside first assist, ICU/PCU/medical-surgical rounds.Practice details:Full spectrum conventional cardiac and thoracic surgery (except VAD, ECMO and transplant)Consistently achieve highest STS quality metrics – multiyear, multiple 3 StarLow PA and surgeon turnoverHospital based – OR, ICU, PCU, surgical unitsSingle hospital practiceTraditional sternotomy based cardiac surgeriesMinimally invasive mitral valve surgeryAll lung resection surgeries performed with DaVinci XI robotRobotic foregut and esophagusAPP driven service – occasional general surgery resident rotations; no subspecialty specific residents of fellowsRequirements

Current WA state license PA (or ability to obtain)Minimum 1 year cardiothoracic surgery as a PAEndoscopic vein harvest – requiredOpen radial harvest – desired, but willing to trainRobotic thoracic/cardiac surgery – desired, but willing to trainICU patient management experience – ventilator, drips, etc.CPR/BLS + ACLS – (or ability to obtain) - requiredQualifications
