JOB SUMMARY: To provide accurate data to support the decision-making and improvement of the district. Create a systemic process for student databases that allows for improved analytics. Provide support for the technical business office systems.
QUALIFICATIONS: The job of the Data Specialist is done for the purpose/s of performing specialized and responsible clerical and technical tasks related to the maintenance of student records and files; and maintaining an automated student information system.
Skills and KnowledgeWorking knowledge of the operations of a school district and state reporting
requirements is essentialStrong computer skills with considerable experience in MS Office (Excel) and data entryExcellent communication skills, customer service skills, organizational skills and attention to detailDesign and implementation of websitesProficiency in working with attendance software and troubleshooting IP address issuesAbility to conduct training and informational meetingsEducation
Minimum of Associates Degree preferredExperience
Prior experience with School Information Systems (SIS) and SQL Databases is requiredExperience with PowerSchool
