Post-Anesthesia Care RN (PACU Nurse)

OverviewAnsible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Post-Anesthesia Care Registered Nurses to support the Atlanta VA Health Care Center located at 1670 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA 30033. Nurses may also be asked to provide services at Community Based Outpatient Centers (CBOC). Multiple shift schedules are available. To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers’ success as if it is their own.ResponsibilitiesPACU RNs shall work in accordance with the policies of the VA healthcare system where assigned. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Utilizes the nursing process, nursing skills, technology, research, and all available resources to maximize the delivery of safe, efficient, quality care to a variety pre-operative and post-operative surgical patientsFunctions as a primary nurse accountable for planning and coordinating the delivery of Peri-Anesthesia nursing care to post-surgical patientsAssumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient transition through the continuum of care, patient and family education, patient self-management after discharge, and supporting factors that impact customer satisfactionConsiders all characteristics of the individual, including age and life stage, state of health, race and culture, values, and previous experiencesProvides a full range of nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavior problemsInfluences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary teamPoised and articulated in communicating with people of varied educational levels and varied ethnic backgroundsWorks cooperatively as a member of a team in all assignmentsParticipates in unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programsQualificationsCompletion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN)Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of ColumbiaAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificationThree(3) years of recent PACU RN work experience is requiredNo sponsorship availableAll candidates must be able to:

Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift

Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist

Lift up to 20 lbs

Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance

Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
