Fusion Connect is seeking an experienced HR Director to lead our Human Resources function. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR functions, policies, and best practices. The HR Director will provide consulting support and training for managers and leaders throughout the organization to achieve business objectives through implementation of HR programs.The HR Director must have hands-on experience with managing continuous improvement of benefits administration, compliance and reporting, payroll, commission, and compensation programs, and change management. This position reports directly to the CFO on developing and implementing cost effective HR processes and procedures, supporting a multi-state, Microsoft-partner organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

HR LEADERSHIP AND EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

Recommend HR solutions/programs to support board initiatives to control labor costs.Evaluate and report on key HR KPIs to assess departmental performance (e.g. exit interview data, engagement survey results, compensation, and attrition trends).Lead employee relations, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions as necessary.Manage the HR budget.PERFORMANCE AND COMPENSATION MANAGEMENT

Manage HR processes including the performance and compensation cycles and talent development initiatives, including a robust manager training curriculum.Regularly assess and adjust commissions structures to ensure competitiveness and motivation within the sales and performance-driven teams.Perform regular review of roles, titles and compensation and make recommendations leadership recommendation based on market data.ON BOARDING AND OFF BOARDING

Design and implement on boarding process aligned with the unique needs and goals of each department.Create respectful and tailored off boarding processes for departing employees.Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback to enhance employee retention and satisfaction.Collaborate with legal and compliance and document and comply with employment law.Guide managers on employee exits to ensure a professional and confidential process.BENEFITS AND COMPLIANCE

Oversee employee benefits programs, promoting employee well-being and vendor relationships.Oversee compliance with all legal and regulatory reporting requirements affecting the Human Resources function (EEO, Affirmative Action, FMLA, ADA, company retirement and pension plans).Maintain knowledge of best practices, regulatory changes, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy and practice to all staff.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. 10+ years of professional HR experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree for qualified candidates.Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources Manager experience in a multi-state organization.Hands-on expertise with employee benefits, payroll, and retirement plan compliance.First-hand experience managing local and multi-state state, and federal employment regulations.Superior expertise with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Forms, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and WorkdayPrevious HR experience supporting a multi-state organization.Experience managing Payroll and Benefit programs.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience training Senior and Executive leadership on adoption of HR best practices.Knowledge of Payroll process and software system requirements.ADP experience a plus.Workday and Microsoft Dynamics knowledge.One or more of the following HR Certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP.
