What You Will Do

The Senior Financial Analyst - Cost Control position is a full-time position, responsible for operating expense forecasting across the Sector, headcount forecasting, and acting as the point of contact on spending for each functional lead within the Sector.

Operating Expense Forecasting Across the SectorCreate and implement a consolidated operating expense forecast model across the Sector.Create a best-in-class headcount model for forecasting purposes that is scalable and adaptable.Leverage Workday HCM to more efficiently and effectively forecast headcount transactions.Point person for requisitions and partnering with PX on requisitions and business planning needs.Report expenses by the segments of Local Government, Private, State/Federal and International.Monthly reporting for functional team leaders (Marketing, R&D, etc.) on forecast vs. actuals, overspend, and underspend.Responsible for reporting on all costs at the Sector level for monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, including QBRs.

Spending SpecialistEnsure each team follows the guidelines and principles in the appropriate Trimble corporate policy on Spending Authorization and Travel and Entertainment.Monitor and report spend across different areas within the organization, specifically around discretionary spending.Evaluate opportunities for savings as we consolidate the organization through facilities, software, events, job functions, etc.

What Skills & Experience You Should BringBachelor’s degree in a numerical fieldMinimum of 7 years of experience in a similar roleFluent in data analysis and reporting: able to collate data from various systems, spot discrepancies/gaps, hunt down resolutions, and clean, combine, and summarize data for management consumptionRelentless attention to detail and sense of urgencyWorking knowledge of accounting principles is a strong plusSolid verbal communication skills, able to work productively with a variety of people and cultures, and able to explain complex issues in a clear summaryExperience with international operations is a plus.
