Compensation and Benefits:Compensation: Starting pay rate of $17.20, actual wage will be adjusted based on experience.Benefits: Full-time, seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Job Summary:

We are all about experiencing all these mountains have to offer, while providing the best possible experience for our guests. The job of the Lift Operator is to execute the proper, efficient, and courteous loading and unloading of our guests. Also responsible for inspecting, recording, and reporting the condition of all lift machinery. To provide maximum ticket security by ensuring each guest has a valid pass and to understand and promote Killington Pico Ski Resort Partners products and services.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Answer a variety of questions about the resort and the areaExplain all procedures to inexperienced guests and ensure that all safety procedures are followedMonitor the operation of the lifts continually, and notify appropriate personnel of any problems or unusual conditionsPerform all necessary opening, operating, and closing procedures of the liftsComplete daily operations reportMay also operate lifts for summer prep work as neededDaily inspection and safe operation of lifts and gondolasExecute opening procedures, daily operations and closing procedures for Lift OperationsResponsible for the safe loading and unloading of guests from an assigned liftKnowledgeably and efficiently administer emergency procedures including lift breakdowns, evacuation, fire, and accident reporting. Communicate to guests, when appropriate, the status of a lift breakdownExecute opening procedures, daily operations and closing procedures for Lift Access OperationsProvide a safe and presentable lift area by maintaining snow/ice buildup, removing trash and litter, and keeping low clearance/portal areas marked and visibleEnsure ticket security by monitoring RFID gate access for validation of passesExcellent ongoing guest serviceCommunicate and make quick decisions and be a source of knowledgeable information in dealing with guest needs or questions as they ariseOther Duties as Assigned: This job description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities for this job and is not intended to be an inclusive list of job tasks and expectations. Excellent customer skills and dependability requiredMust be at least 18 years oldMust be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions for a long period of time in all types of weatherHigh school diploma, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquiredAbility to lift 50 pounds consistently to load equipment and bikes onto the liftMust be able to work independentlyRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work quickly and alertly, and to strictly observe safety proceduresAbility to learn a variety of information about activities, events, policies, procedures, schedules, and the like pertaining to the resort and the areaAbility to deal with guests in a courteous, efficient, and confident/authoritative manner
