Job Description: Speech-Language Pathologist Location: Indiantown, Florida Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Type: Full-Time Overview: Indiantown School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. The SLP will play a crucial role in providing speech and language services to students, ensuring their academic and social success. Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language needs. Provide direct speech and language therapy to students in individual and group settings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress. Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress. Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations. Conduct screenings and provide consultations as needed. Stay updated with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology. Provide training and support to school staff on speech and language development. Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Florida state license to practice Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Certification from the Florida Department of Education for Speech-Language Pathologists. Knowledge of IDEA and state and federal regulations governing special education. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required. Required Licensure and Certifications: Florida State License: Must hold and maintain a valid license to practice speech-language pathology in Florida. ASHA Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Florida Department of Education Certification: Certification for Speech-Language Pathologists, meeting all state educational and examination requirements.
